Ingredients
  

  • 1 box white cake mix Follow package instructions
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • to taste drops blue food coloring For tinting frosting
  • 1 container white frosting
  • as desired pieces gummy shark candies For decoration
  • as desired cup chocolate cookie crumbs For decoration

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  • In a large bowl, prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions, adding the water, oil, and eggs.
  • Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling them about two-thirds full.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
  • Use a small amount of blue food coloring to tint the white frosting a light blue color. Frost the cupcakes, then gently press a gummy shark candy into the center of the frosting to create the "fin."
  • Sprinkle the chocolate cookie crumbs around the base of the cupcake to resemble the "mouth" of the shark. For an extra touch, you can use a toothpick to create "teeth" out of the frosting.
