Ingredients
  

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) Optional for added texture.

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan and bake at 350°F for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
