Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and diced Use ripe, juicy strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, cream, sugar, and salt. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has fully dissolved and the liquid is warm but not boiling.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Allow the mixture to cool completely, then transfer it to a chilled ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • During the last 5 minutes of churning, add the diced strawberries. Once the ice cream has reached your desired consistency, transfer it to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
