Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs at room temperature
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 10-inch Bundt pan or two 9x5-inch loaf pans with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s) and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once the pound cake is baked, allow it to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • This cake can be enjoyed as is, or you can dress it up with your favorite toppings, such as powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or a simple glaze.
