Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
